The Burnet track teams hosted the District 24-4A Meet last week and both the Lady Dawgs and Bulldogs found success and qualified athletes for the upcoming Area Meet. Burnet's Lady Dawg golf team will play at Regionals this Wednesday and Thursday in Huntsville at the Bearkat Golf Course. The girls punched their ticket by winning the District 24-4A Championship. Burnet's Lady Dawg Golfers include Chloe Shannon, Avery Gowin, Kristine Rodriguez, and Cambria Neenan. Best of luck to these ladies as they work for a chance to compete at state.

Landry Schubert New School Record, Triple Jump 36-6.50
Jumping into Area
Burnet had numerous athletes qualify for this week's Area Meet including these two field event competitors. Landry Schubert set a new school record in the triple jump with a 36-6.50 mark placing third at district for a ticket to Area. Lady Bulldog Wrigley Mulhollan flies over a hurdle during the varsity girls 100-meter hurdle competition at the district meet last week. Mulhollan participated in both the 100 and 300 hurdles and qualified for Area in both. She posted a 16.31 in the 100 placing second and a 48.56 in the 300 also placing second. Mulhollan, along with several other Burnet track athletes will travel to Lorena on Wednesday to compete in the Area Track and Field Championships hosting Districts 23 and 24-4A.
